"I disagree with what has been said here. When I went, it was really buzzy and a great place to people watch. I eat out alot and would definitely come back. Its more of an american fine dining than a steak house, I think thats the difference. Yum! "

"Sadly I have to agree with some of the other reviewers, this place is just too expensive for what it is and the atmophere can only be described with one word -dull.
The bar downstairs is OK but the restaurant has nothing going for it. The service was ok, just a bit formal. I associate steakhouses with buzzy atmosphere and friendly service. Food was ok but after paying the bill it did but a bitter taste in out mouths as we were leaving.
Won't come back or recommend I'm afraid, much prefer places like Goodman and Hawksmoor where you are guaranteed a good time and some money left for a night cap at the end of the evening.

"My husband and
I went to Christopher's last week and we did love the place.
My steak was great with the delicious mushrooms while the fish my husband ordered was quite good. We did end up ordering too many side orders so had to leave a full plate of chips.

Definitely go back "

"We went to Christophers Bar and Grill for my boyfriends birthday meal. We first discovered Christophers whilst wandering around Covent Garden and enjoyed the atmosphere while we had a drink at the bar downstairs.
The restaurant certainly didnt disappoint! We both opted for the fillet steak, which was delicious, cooked to perfection and we chose 3 sides to share which were exquisite. We also enjoyed a bottle of their Argentinian Malbec wine which went perfectly with the steaks.
The service was excellent and we decided there and then to make Christophers our venue for any special occasions. "

"What a waste of both our time and money. My boyfriend and I visited last week and I can some up the experience in two letters, `OK`. Ok food, Ok service but definitely not an Ok bill. The food and service were mechanical to say the least and the bill for two without starters or desserts made us laugh, not with joy but with disbelief. How much longer can restaurant owners continue to charge hefty prices for mediocre experiences; come on , it is 2009! My advise to any potential customer is to go elsewhere. This is a tin pot restaurant with a fancy facade. "

"Looks really can be decieving! Went on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was virtually empty. Hideous opera music playing in the background, felt we had to whisper to not be overheard by other diners. Service was formal and BORING, waitress had no personality at all. The biggest shock was the bill, two mains, two glasses of wine and one coffee for £75! What a joke, will never return nor recommend to anyone.
Stuffy, boring, overpriced and mediocre food. At best!"
