"Embarrassing.
2 meals arrived after the other 2 members of the party had finished theirs, and they were wrong orders. Meat was tough, tasteless and cold (and incorrectly cooked on previous occassions). Waiting staff very apologetic, and offered discount and complimentary wine. We were going to give them one more try several weeks later on the condition we all got our meals at the same time AND another bottle of wine on the house as a goodwill gesture. OK'd by duty manager, however received a snotty phone call from the owner not to apologise but to say we wouldn't be getting a free bottle of wine on the house as "the industry doesn't work like that".
The steak isn't that great: go to the Gourmet Burger opposite if you're in Windsor and want meat, we will be."

"I went here with a good friend and we go out for meat-based fare, a lot. Obviously then, expectations were high. Especially as we rather excitedly saw a huge description of how meat is cooked (blue, rare, etc.) on the wall next to our table. We duly ordered the sirloin on the bone and to our utter disappointment they were both clearly cooked medium. We sent them back. They returned. BLUE. Cold in the middle too. We ate them as we were starving but the meat was poor and we were quite frankly pissed off with the bitter chef who clearly undercooked our meat on purpose. Highly UNrecommended."

"Cattle Grid is a nice addition to the area. I am not sure about the fact you have to order at the counter but all in all a nice experience. Staff were friendly, steaks tasty and reasonably priced."

"Not good. My wife and I had a bad experience here. Both cuts (sirloin & rump) were badly undercooked and quality of rump meat in particular was poor. It is cheap for a reason. Won\'t be going back. Good idea, very bad execution."
